He is without doubt the good soul at Burfeinds stables. For the last 30 years Walter Schnakenberg, cheerful Jack of all trades, has been responsible for the smooth running of not only the stables and yard but also the house and during shows. Irrelevant of whether chauffeuring or feeding the horses, gardening or acting as caretaker, Walter manages to keep everything tip top, we would be lost without him.

Juliane started as a trainee after she finished studying Business Studies and remained at Hartwigs side as his 'better half', supporting him to the best of her abilities. She rides successfully at top levels and is very close to being awarded her Golden Riding Certificate.

The young Austrian girl moved from the Alps to the flat lands of Northern Germany because of her love of horses. After a year as a hard working voluntary trainee she was rewarded, in the summer of 2009, for her efforts with a contract to train as a rider at the well known Burfeind Stables and Training Centre.
